The UK's leading educationalists and education charities, led by the RSA, joined forces as the ‘Open Source Alliance for Education in the 21st Century’, with an ambition to share, promote and embed a better, progressive and ‘anti-Govian’ approach to education.
Wire was brought in to define and express the brand and to develop the engagement strategy. After extensive consultation with pupils, teachers, parents, business and educationalists, Wire developed the principles the agenda would be based on. We agreed the phrase ‘Whole Education’ captured the flavour of our discussions. A full visual language was developed for use in online and offline engagement campaigns. From nowhere - ‘Whole Education’ has become a recognised and respected education brand across the world. It first came to life from the mouth of a young child from south London at the launch event when he said, ‘I never had a whole education…’
