In 2016, Wire, worked closely with owner Helen Collier, to create The Last Crumb identity. The original business was a bespoke cake company but Helen contacted Wire to evolve the identity so it could incorporate several subsidiaries, a café, a work hub, a bakery and future commercial products. The identity included stationery, website, an exhibition stand and various promotional material. The brief was to create a playful, fun, personal identity. Bearing this in mind and due to the fact that Helen's nickname is ‘Bird‘ we couldn't fight the obvious!
The identity (incorporating illustrations by Freya Bateson and photography by Massimo Petracca) has now been used on hand painted external and internal signage, takeaway cups, bags, aprons, promotional cards and a website. A range of commercial products including a book, coffee beans and olive oil will follow in the future.
At Wire, we are certain this won’t be the last Last Crumb.
