Wire is a unique creative agency specialising in building business success through brand, design and digital innovation.
The original business - Wire Design, was formed in 1997 by John Corcoran and Peter Higgins who both come from the chips-and-curry-sauce-eating, Rugby League-playing, wire-manufacturing town of Warrington in Lancashire.
Together, they have developed a no-nonsense approach that gets results. 20 years experience, big, intelligent ideas and bold creative expression mean they can work closely and effectively with clients to maximise growth.
London based, Wire has additional interests in a range of related businesses including; Corcult (Core Culture Ltd), Things Gallery (limited edition fine art prints) and Beyond Big Type (A guide to better inclusive communication design).
The Wire identity
We often get asked about the origins of the symbols we use for our identity. Are they flowers? Are the snowflakes? Actually, they are cross sections of wire cables. Warrington is also fondly known as the‘Wire’ due to its manufacturing history and we thought these symbols would well represent our history, a sense of place and suggest the characteristics of innovation, creativity and hard work that Wire exemplifies. They are also visually appealing. We have added a few examples of how our identity has been implemented.
